‘The City of Cape Town is a dynamic, world-class city and pristine tourist destination. Cape Town is rated among the most sought after cities to work and live, and it calls for leadership that will meet and exceed expectations. We are looking for dedicated individuals with strategic ability, sound financial acumen and an innovative, influential and collaborative approach. Knowledge and understanding of the local government environment is also advisable. I encourage all professionals who meet these requirements to please apply,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.

It is the City’s intention to have the new Executive Management Team appointed by May 2022.

‘This is a legislative driven process, meaning Council must approve the new appointments for the new term of office. Furthermore, a report on the appointment process of the Executive Management Team members will be submitted to the Western Cape Minister for Local Government to ensure that the City has followed due process,’ said Alderman Uys.

Advertisements will appear in local and national newspapers, as required by the Regulations on the Conditions of Service and the Appointment of Senior Managers under the Municipal Systems Act.

It is also available online, at the following link: www.capetown.gov.za/ExecutiveCareers.

‘The City’s Executive Management Team is responsible for excellence in service delivery and municipal operations. They must be customer focused, honest, responsive and committed. This is a huge responsibility and privilege and we are looking forward to receiving applications,’ said Alderman Uys.
